Midnight in Paris

Right now, I'm in a very romantic mood where I just want to party with the Fitzs' and drink champagne all night and talk about the fear of death and the fear of living and the death in living and take photos of Salvador Dali painting portraits of me! Agh.

Y Tu Madre Tambien

At first I thought the crazy amount of sex scenes was just an excuse for the director to fulfill his secret dreams of actually becoming a porno filmographer, but the purpose of all the sex became clear to be by the end of the movie. This movie is so beautifully directed and acted, I'm so glad I didn't stop watching it when I thought it wasn't going anywhere.

And Deigo Luna is a lil cutie! Holla Tenoch! Er.. Hola!!

The Good Guy

I guess I was in a particularly girly mood today and started my morning off with a romantic comedy. Typically, romantic comedies bug me because of the way they cater to a woman's fantasies: nice girl meets guy but realizes there are other things going on in her life and is stuck between the two, options options, decisions decisions, but in the end falls in love with the guy and live happily ever after.

Well, this movie really was no different, but it didn't bug me as much as I expected it to. Alexis Bledel, young, gorgeous, and smart, begins dating a Wall Street broker she realizes later was screwing her over, but in the end finds a more suitable partner. Yay!

Last Night

So I did spend my Valentine's Day eating my mom's box of chocolates and watching a romance film, but rather than it being totally depressing, it was actually thoroughly enjoyable. Well for one, "Last Night" is simply brilliant and the actors in this movie were so real to their characters it really pulled me into the story all the way through.

It definitely isn't a feel good romantic comedy or anything, but not necessarily something I would consider a movie for all people. Much talking, more talking, talking, talking, but such fantastic talking!

Limitless

This film probably just made it to my top ten list of all time favorite movies. I could go on about how genius this film is, but I'm not going to get into that.. I never quite understood why women swoon over Bradly Cooper, but this film just proves why I was so wrong to think any less of him.
